Botox® Cosmetic

BOTOX COSMETIC is a purified protein that is commonly used to reduce or eliminate the appearance of facial wrinkles. Its ability to relax isolated muscles enables Dr O’Malley-Mattone to help patients look like a less tired, less stressed version of themselves.

In addition to its most popular use to smooth away frown lines and worry lines between the eyebrows, Botox is used to successfully lift the eyebrows, correct uneven eyebrow heights, smooth horizontal forehead wrinkles, crows feet , dimpled or lined chins, and lines around the mouth. Botox is also used on the neck to eliminate vertical banding and horizontal “necklace” lines.

Dr. O’Malley-Mattone provides relief from migraine and tension headaches through specific targeted Botox injections to literally clear patients’ heads. Botox can put an end to excessive sweating under the arms, palms, or soles for up to six months to a year with just one treatment session.

Dr.O’Malley-Mattone counsels patients to start Botox treatments early, so that expression lines, which occur only while making facial expressions, will not become permanently etched in their faces. After repeated use of botox, most patients require less Botox and have longer intervals between treatments.

Restylane®

Restylane® is safe and natural cosmetic dermal filler that restores volume to the skin to fill in facial lines and folds, sculpt fuller, sexier lips and shape facial contours Restylane is a clear synthetic gel made with hyaluronic acid, a substance that is naturally found in your skin that diminishes with age There is no need for skin testing as Restylane carries little risk of allergic reaction.

The most common areas for treatment are the nasolabial folds ( lines between the nose and mouth) glabellar lines (between the eyebrows) and marionette lines (lines from the angle of the mouth to the chin). Thin lips can be enhanced to create a natural, fuller look, and for those who wish, full lips can be made even poutier. Depressed scars due to acne or chicken pox can easily be elimated with Restylane.

The results are almost instantaneous, with little or no downtime. Restylane has the unique ability to bind with water, and therefore maintains its cosmetic effect for about six months.
